The Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ no longerÌýproduces the Checkpoint A and BÌýexaminations in world languages.Ìý These exams are now developed atÌýthe local level by schools, districts and consortia.Ìý Archives of past examinations (2002 - 2011) for both Checkpoints are available at the links below.Ìý These past examinations may be used for practice with students, however, best practice dictates that publicly available exam content should not be used on final exams students take to earn diploma credit.

Exam Schedule (2022)

Since the Checkpoint A and B exams in world languages are locally-developed, districts may choose the date on which they are administered.Ìý Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ includes aÌýsuggestedÌýdate for the Checkpoint A and B exams on the official NYS Regents Exam Schedule for June 2022.

4+1 Pathway exams in World Languages

4+1 Pathway exams in world languages are now available in 14 languages: American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.Ìý These are special Checkpoint B exams that, when passed, fulfill the world language exam requirement of the Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation AND can be used as the fifth Regents Examination required for graduation.Ìý For more information on these 4+1 Pathway examinations in world languages, please visit this site.
